Donald J. Glacy moved to Roanoke in 2011 with a simple goal: to raise his family in a community where neighbors know each other, businesses thrive, and local leaders care deeply about the future of the city.
Over the past 15 years, Roanoke has become home for Donald, his wife, and their four children. Like many families who choose Roanoke, they were drawn to the strong sense of community, the welcoming spirit of its residents, and the unique character that makes this city special.
Today, Donald is committed to giving back to the community that has given so much to his family.
Business Leadership and Experience
Donald is a business owner and executive leadership coach who has spent his career helping companies grow, solve complex challenges, and build strong organizations.
As the founder of Purpose Factory, Donald works with business owners and executives to help them clarify their purpose, strengthen leadership, and build businesses that support healthy families and communities.
Earlier in his career, Donald built and operated multiple companies, including his family's advertising agency and consulting businesses that helped organizations grow through strategic planning, marketing, and leadership development.
Through this work, he has developed a deep understanding of economic growth, entrepreneurship, and the challenges facing business owners—experience that informs his approach to supporting Roanoke’s local business community to create a thriving city dynamic.
